Hydroponics Window Farm
An automated hydroponic irrigation system I built to grow herbs on a window sill. The plants sit in stone-filled pots with no soil — nutrients are delivered directly through water that trickles down at regular intervals, so the plants can put more energy into growing rather than developing root systems.
The custom frame was inspired by this picture I found on Pinterest. A Raspberry Pi handles the irrigation schedule, and the whole system can be monitored and controlled from a phone using a custom app built on the Blynk framework.
